Bien dormi, aucun
bateau n’est passé dans le chenal. Il fait beau mais la météo annonce un vent
fort du nord-ouest dans l’après-midi. Nous continuons sur les fjords vers le
nord, à la voile. Nous traversons Fensfjord, un large fjord orienté est-ouest.
Monstad, la grande raffinerie est un peu à l’est d’ici sur le bord de ce fjord.
Nous voyons plusieurs pétroliers qui attendent, ils doivent obligatoirement
avoir un pilote local à bord. Nous allons à 5 nœuds, seulement avec le foc.
Arrivés « en face », nous passons Vikingnese, un cap où nous sommes
passés des dizaines de fois, et continuons sur un fjord vers le nord. C’est très
agréable, il fait beau, Maja avance bien et le paysage est magnifique. Jens
voudrait aller directement à Vilsvik, une baie juste au sud de Sognefjord où
nous nous sommes arrêtés souvent. Mais moi j’ai envie de faire du
shopping ! Nous faisons donc un petit détour et allons à Eidsvindsvik, un
joli petit port animé en cette belle après-midi de juillet. Les plaisanciers
sont nombreux, qui achète du diesel, qui de la nourriture. Nous, nous achetons
2 glaces, le journal et une nouvelle gaffe, la vieille est cassée. La boutique
a de tout, des articles de pêche à de la laine à tricoter en passant par des
livres.
Nous arrivons
ensuite à Vilsvik et allons directement à « notre » place, la proue
(cela fait plus maritime que le nez !) sur la falaise et l’ancre derrière.
Le vent est assez fort, donc Jens nous amarre avec 3 cordes à l’avant. On ne
peut pas aller au fond de la baie avec l’annexe. Pour aller le vent est avec
nous mais revenir contre le vent nous poserait problème. Jens bricole, il y
toujours quelque chose à faire sur le bateau, je lis le journal puis fais une
pizza.

Slept well, no boat
has passed into the channel. It's nice but the forecast is strong winds in the
afternoon. We continue on the fjords to the north, sailing. We cross Fensfjord
a wide east-west fjord. Monstad, the large refinery is a bit east of here on
the edge of the fjord. We see several tankers waiting, they are required to
have a local pilot on board. We sail at 5 knots, with only the jib. Arrived on
the other side we pass Vikingnese a cap we have passed dozens of times, and
continue on a fjord north. This is nice, Maja is progressing well and the
scenery is beautiful. Jens would go directly to Vilsvik, a bay just south of
Sognefjord where we stopped frequently. But I'd like to go shopping! We make a
small detour and go to Eidsvindsvik, a pretty small harbour animated on this beautiful
afternoon of July. Boaters are many, some buying diesel, some buying food. We
buy two ice creams, a newspaper and a new boathook, the old one is broken. The
shop has everything from fishing tackle to wool knitting via books.
We then arrive at
Vilsvik and go straight to "our" place, the bow (this is more
maritime than the nose!) on the cliff and the anchor behind. The wind is strong
enough, so Jens has 3 ropes at the bow. We can not get to the bottom of the bay
with the tender. To get there, the wind would be with us but to come back against
the wind would be a problem. Jens finds something to fix, there is always
something to do on the boat, I read the paper and then make a pizza.
